TEAM UNOFFICIAL BIO
---------------------------

When it comes to an energetic performance, Team Unofficial is always in the mix. Formed in 2005, members Jay Perk, Brixx Man, and Jim Charlz have been perfecting their entertainment skill doing shows all over New England.

It all started on a college campus in Connecticut. Jay Perk had an idea of creating a hip hop group that would represent the local colleges in the area. Many people laughed at his idea but two individuals would embrace Jay Perk’s vision. Brixx Man and Jim Charlz would become the next members of Team Unofficial.

The group started of its stage career performing at open mics and showcases. Overall, the crowd would give a few claps and maybe a few cheers. Team Unofficial was not satisfied. The group had visions of bringing crowds to their feet. Team Unofficial would have to switch up their musical content to ensure that the fans could easily interpret what was expected. On a song “Throw it Up” Team Unofficial would have the fans waive their hands. Another song “Get Wild”, the fans are expected to make as much noise as possible. This formula was a success and established Team Unofficial as an instant crowd pleaser. “It’s not rap anymore. it’s energy”, says Jay Perk. “The crowd is going to get what they pay for.”

It is very hard to determine Team Unofficial’s music style. The group usually jumps from genre to genre developing songs to catch different demographics. On a song “Spanish Bounce”, Team Unofficial caters to the Hispanic audiences. “Jump” is an all-out rock and roll song that attracts die-hard rock fans. The variety in music has created a diverse following for Team Unofficial. The hip hop group hopes that this formula will useful in making it into the record industry.

Team Unofficial released its first self-titled album in April of 2006. It was success. The album gave the group its big break to take part in local mixtapes in the Connecticut area. Team Unofficial would then follow up with the double album BIG TIME which would sell over 700 copies in the New England area.

Currently, Team Unofficial is headlining the Project: Unofficial Paper tour. The tour will visit many cities including New York City, Hartford, CT, and Boston, MA. The group is also putting the finishing touches on its third album to be released in the second quarter of this year. There are big goals to achieve in 2007 and Team Unofficial is ready to work, says Jay Perk.
