Bio
Mackenzie Danner, Flutist, Piccoloist, and Techno Producer performs a myriad of concerts a year throughout the the United States. She received her Master of Music and Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance and Music Technology from NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY. Mackenzie's main artistic goal is to produce new contemporary music and multimedia, and to discover an artistic language that will unify the different media that she wants to work with. Mackenzie is the first TechnoFlutist in the field of electronic dance music. She plays TechnoFlute at dance clubs, and wishes to tour the world just as D:Fuse who plays live percussion while spinning records. Recently Mackenzie has used Max/MSP for live DSP in her performances of her techno tracks. Her most recent performance was at UIUC performing Dark Faun with a live delay patch in Max/MSP.
Mackenzie recently competed in the National Flute Association Piccolo Artist Competition beating out hundreds to play in the semi-finals. She also won the National Federation of Music Clubs Orchestral Woodwind Competition in 2007. She is a winner of numerous Chicago Flute Club Master Class Competitions.
Mackenzie also created ringtones for Motorola as a Sound Designer in 2007 and created digital filters for General Motors in 2008.
