TECHNO-LINCOLN and The Technicolor Union

Visual and performance artist, Shane O'Shaughnessy (TECHNO-LINCOLN), teamed up with guitar virtuoso, Alex Manuel (Dr. Tesla, Electro-Wizard, Part-time Riffologist), to create a multimedia//rock opera show entitled "TECHNO-LINCOLN and The Technicolor Union". Soon joined by a varied cast of performers and musicians, each 'episode' presented contains a full story with a myriad of villains and plot twists progressed by an eclectic assortment of songs, both original and covered. Each member comes from his or her own individual background of influences, covering a wide range of music from classical to rock to jazz, and aesthetics borrowed from pop and art culture, history, and a deep appreciation of humor.
Our creed we call FOON: our cheap knockoff brand of fun, emphasizing DIY attitude mixed with a healthy cynicism of commercialism, consumerism, and hyper-mediated society. FOON focuses our disparate influences to create a chaotic collage so that the audience may leave feeling dazzled, bewildered, and flabbergasted.
