Teddy Abesamis

Sometimes you have to come home to really appreciate what you have. Teddy Abesamis has done just that. A few years after getting his bachelors degree in voice from Wayne State University, singing in a couple shows with the Michigan Opera Theatre, and spending time being a church music director, Teddy decided to move to New York City. Upon Moving there he discovered a music scene filled with a wonderful collection of singer songwriters, and bands. Teddy soon become part of that community and started playing solo acoustic shows at popular NYC venues like, The Bitter End, Cbgb's underground lounge, Cb's 313 gallery, and The Sidewalk Cafe. During his 2 years in NYC Teddy recorded his album "Soundtrak", served as a freelance producer for several local artists, and was named one of the "14 Best Singer Songwriters of Greenwich Village 2005" by Underground Music Online. Learning from his experiences Teddy has decided to come back to the Detroit area to start building a real fanbase, and to build a band to support his efforts. Now armed with some of metro Detroit's finest musicians Teddy is beggining a new conquest to take over the Midwest! Teddy Abesamis is bringing his Urban retro pop sound to anyone who will listen. That means You, your mom, your dad, your sister, your sister's friend Cindy, Even your Grandma!!!
