...including a video of a performance at the Record Bar. The song "A Little at a Time" was featured on Alice 102 FM's local artist showcase in early March of 2012. That song, and "Use it All," "I Think I've had the Blues Beat out of Me," and "Bad Wind on the Bayou" have received considerable airplay on KC Local Artists Radio:

Bio

Ted Hoffman is a middle-ager who played extensively in southeastern Michigan rock bands from the mid 70s through the late 80s. After a pause in musical pursuits to raise a family and start a career, he decided to concentrate more on seeing to fruition the musical ideas that were bouncing around in his head.

In 2012, Hoffman received first place in the "New Songs" contest (love songs category) at the 41st annual Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas, for the song "A Little At A Time."

His influences are wide, from The Beatles to Todd Rundgren, bands from the California folk/rock genre such as CSNY, Jackson Browne, to Elvis Costello, and elements of the blues.

Ted is a strongly melody-driven songwriter. While many of the "singer/songwriter" genre focus on storytelling and simple chord structures, Hoffman's work seems to be more influenced by finding interesting melodic and chordal hooks.

He has gotten airplay on KC Local Artists Internet Radio, as well as limited airplay on Kansas City's Alice 102 FM. Hoffman has performed at several Kansas City venues, such as the Record Bar, the Czar Bar, and the Uptown Arts Bar, and is looking to increase his bookings.
