Born in 1991, in Prince George's County, Maryland, TeeJay did not find his niche for rapping until his sophomore year at Suitland High School. A local music group came to his school and were doing sign-ups for a mixtape consisting of students from schools all around the DMV(DC, Maryland, and Virginia). Not really pursuing a dream of rapping, TeeJay brushed off participating in the mixtape but bought the final product in support of friends who signed up. After the intial listen, TeeJay felt he could surpass ever artist on the tape and from that moment, TeeJay picked up his pen and never looked back.

In December 2010, TeeJay released his first mixtape “New Player, Old Game”. He looks back at that tape as a stepping stone to what he was really capable of. His next release, “Witness” garnered the attention of new fans along with long-time friend and fellow MC Eric “Lega-c” Smith. Smith saw the potential and added TeeJay to his label F.R.E.S.H. Entertainment's sub-division Fly Rebel Society with Ryda Blak and godlymC.

With a team behind him and anticipation for his next release, TeeJay composed his most successful mixtape to date “Hard Times of a Terrapin”, featuring the single “High” in October of 2010. Following its release, TeeJay performed at the University of Maryland with DMV Live Radio at their HypeNite 2011 in College Park.

Most recently, TeeJay released his “Friends With Benefits : EP”, based off the cult box office hit starring Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake.

On August 17th, 2012, TeeJay released All Verb | No Convo, his fourth full length mixtape, sponsored by Sealed IV Freshness,

Coming out of a area where rappers have been frowned upon or overlooked on for quite some time, TeeJay hopes his repetition is truly the father of learning and the public takes notice to his music.
