Fans of quality atmospheric new-age, sprinkled with hints of alternative pop, should definitely check out Tehila's latest masterpiece.
The artist has an astonishing new release titled 'Words Will Come', co-written with singer/songwriter, guitarist and producer, Josh Brill. Josh found Tehila's music online, took a leap of faith, and flew halfway around the world from Los Angeles to Israel to meet her. On their very first meeting, Tehila shared a melody she had composed and expressed her hope that "words will come". "There it is! That's the line!" replied Josh, and within less than an hour, the song was complete. It was a magical collaboration well worth the effort!
This project is a milestone for the artist, an achievement that highlights her artistic integrity and excellent performance value. The composition has a smooth and understated arrangement, which combines a big, emotional piano part with heartfelt strings. The instrumental bridge is hypnotic and mesmerizing and the drums come in half-way through the song, ramping up the power and dynamics of the song, but without losing its fragility.
Creating during the pandemic has inspired Tehila to reach out and collaborate online with musicians from around the world. The cello, violin and viola tracks were recorded by a couple from the United Kingdom, the percussion was recorded in Brazil, the guitars and bass in the United States, and the piano in Israel. The song received an expert mix and mastering job by Aran Lavi in Tel Aviv. To Tehila, music is more than just the mode through which she expresses herself; it is a balm that calmly soothes her soul and the way through which she can creatively communicate her feelings, thoughts, and messages all in one vehicle.
Her yearn to continually invest in perfecting her art and interest in finding her own unique sound drove her pursuits to master numerous facets of the craft. Tehila is thus an established singer/songwriter, recording and performing artist, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. Her music encompasses a wide variety of genres ranging from Alternative and Pop, to New Age and Instrumental; underneath which is her passion and heart for putting together tunes that resonate with her audience.
Tehila has a strong musical background with both her parents being accomplished singers/songwriters. This exposed her to many musicians in multiple genres while growing up, and it wasn’t long before she would discover her calling to follow in her parents’ footsteps. The family’s move to Hawaii in 2008 would later inspire her to learn how to play the piano, a move that occupied most of her free time while on the quiet little island of Kauai. Add to that being a member of the family band HAVAIIA which gained popularity back in 2015, Tehila has certainly come to embrace her artistry either as a solo act or as part of a collaboration or group performance.
Tehila is currently recording and producing new original music in English and Hebrew in collaboration with different artists and musicians from across the world. She enjoys challenging herself which has been her way since she began singing professionally at the age of 16. One of her greatest accomplishments was performing in front of 8,000 people at The Lights Festival in California. Tehila is looking forward to making many other firsts in the music industry including becoming a globally recognized, award winning artist. She vows to never lose sight of what initially drew her to music; that ability to redefine herself by being original, dynamic, and entertaining.
