We just recently started working with Temp and I have to say that I have been nothing short of impressed with everything I have heard from him. This is the kind of music I love to jam. Real hip hop music with some smoothness and hardness too. We produced the tracks "Ain't No Grave" "Ticking Away" "Gymnasts In The Nude" "Need A Dollar" and "No Good" on this joint. This mixtape makes my eardrums happy.. haha, no joke. I rap myself and Temp came through and bought all the beats I had written songs to already, so we have similar taste. No wonder I love this joint. Thank Temp for his hard work on Twitter @813Temp and download the mixtape above every day for the next 2 years to boost download stats. - Basement Beatz
This summer, Tampa rapper Temp dropped Empty Stages, a forceful, 17-song mixtape featuring collaborations with producer Doo Wop and fellow east Hillsborough rapper Eyeznpowa. It’s a funky collection that gives plenty of love to Tampa as Temp raps about life, lessons and his lyrical skill: “I talk sick / I spit this s--- / they holdin’ telethons for me,” he raps on the mixtape’s intro.
But he didn’t stop with Empty Stages — he recently dropped another new single, Inside a Verse, which you can check out on Facebook. It’s a writer’s confessional paean to the straight and narrow life, in which Temp claims to “prefer root beer over cider” and says he “don’t like to f--- with the clubs / I’d rather stay in my crib.” He says he’s “a lover, not a fighter / rather kiss her than to bite her / never freestyle, not me, but I’m a hella f---in’ writer.”
Empty Stages is available for free download via Hulkshare. Click here to get it. - Tampa Bay Times
