Tempertrend

The vision of greatness and some higher powers brought the current lineup of Tempertrend together. Formed from some heavily road tested musicians, Tempertrend brings with it an amazingly powerful live experience with some of the better modern rock song writing in the Tri-state Area.

They came together through pure fate. After hanging out and talking music for months, Bassist Rick Balliet and Singer/Guitarist Joe Kash said through a phone call they should get something rolling. Both were working on multiple side projects to simply stay busy in their love of music. Five hours later, Drummer Chris Judge mysteriously contacted Joe after not speaking in close to 6 months. In the aftermath, Tempertend was magically reformed, with its strongest and most musically talented lineup to date.

Front Man/Guitarist Joe Kash (O~zone Babies, Clove, The Front, 8th) tops off what shows to be one of the most potent rhythm sections recently formed. With a track record of rocking major clubs up and down the East Coast spanning back to when he was 16, Kash brings his powerful vocals and heart felt song writing to the group. With influences such as Breaking Benjamin and some of the 90s greatest grunge-writers, Kash's writing is intricate, heavy, emotional, and beautiful all at the same time. This combination is what is vital to the sound. Kash adds that rock feel they're looking for to this amazing lineup.

Drummer Chris Judge (Infused, ONO7, Better Than Monday) has a drumming career that is older itself than most of the current musicians are on the scene. Spanning 23 years, Drummer Chris has covered most of the genres music has to offer and has played on the club scene with some of the more highly known bands of PA. His primary influence is none other than the great Neil Pert from Rush. Drummer Chris's dazzling fills and top notch rolls are bound to amaze even the most seasoned music fans out there. Do yourselves a favor and pay close attention, or you might miss something.

Filling the bass spot is none other than Funk/Blues enthusiast, the Funk Doc himself(and nicknamed "Funky Cracka" by Kash), Rick Balliet (Ganga Lee, Methelethyl Keytones). Pulling from the top Funk bassists of the 70s and 80s and the Improvisational Greats from the past 40 years, Rick adds that growling bass and stage presence bands would kill for. With his fills and runs, plucking, slapping, and fingering his way up and down the fret board and Jam Band/Funk background, Rick is sure to awe you at least once through the evening with his booty shaking 4 string flavor. Be prepared to shake, because you if you have any soul, you will.

And toppin off this ensable is Rich Rowe(Gage, Kracked), Lead Guitarist extraordinaire. Rich's awesomely creative and melodic leads add that final piece to the sound the band has been searching for. With 12 years of experience and being the primary song writer for his last all original band, Rich truely adds that extra level and icing on the cake groups are always looking for. Pulling from everything from country to metal to gospel(metal being the primary influence) he entertwines beautiful flowing leads over the thumping bass lines. "Good tunes are good tunes, no matter where you find them" is what Rich lives life by. Whether it's bending full notes or shredding through 1/16th note scales, Rich's lead runs are the perfect compliment to the heavy pocket and groove the rest of the band creates.

With close to 2,300 shows between them in the past 5 years, Tempertrend is full of the experienced musicians the great bands always have. With members coming from completely different backgrounds and influences, Tempertrend offers the original sound fans want and need. Combining these different backgrounds with a second-to-none feeling for soul-felt songwriting, Tempertrend is as original sounding and powerful as you will find on the scene today. You will not hear another band that sounds like Tempertrend
