Bio

Power pop/jangle garage/paisley underground.
These are the coordinates of the buzzing world of The Temponauts, a Northern Italy based combo with the head in the 60s, the ass well tied to today, and the heart belonging to The Byrds' 5th Dimension. Together since the end of 2004, The Temponauts name Byrds, Rolling Stones, Kinks, Beach Boys, Beatles, Neil Young, Buffalo Sprigfield, Love, Dinosaur Jr, Stone Roses, Las, Dream Syndicate, Long Ryders and the Rain Parade as main infuences.
In the summer of 2005 the band recorded a promo and songs are placing on some compilations:
A cover of Otis Reddings super classic That's How strong is my love on Wild Sound From the Past Dimension, (Go Down Records  ITA);
The Down Bums, an original Temponauts on Series Two Vol.2, (Series Two Records USA)
Come Back Saturday, another original composition, on Today's Just Tomorrow's Yesterday Vol.4 (Teen Sound Record ITA) label with which relations are continuing until the publication of full length, in november 2007:
A MILLION YEAR PICNIC - An exciting expedition to the "paisley ground", in a meltdown of rock attitude and folk flavour, melody and electricity, Birdsy jingle jangle and pure 60s pop plus an astonishing contemporary indie rock taste: if the influences of the band are deeply rooted in the 60s, their sound canvas shows a fresh and modern approach to the matter. Another key influence for The Temponauts is Science Fiction: from the mid 60s (the so called "speculative science fiction") to Bradbury's "Martian Chronicles"... the band name was taken from a Phil Dick novel! So, welcome to the fantastic limbo of The Temponauts: roaring songs, jangling guitars and worlds holding their souls with the teeth...
