Tension

Tension is a Chicago, Il based band formed through a collaboration of artists from varying musical backgrounds. From the moment they entered their first practice session together they knew they had something they needed to share with the world. Tension is a four member group comprised of a classically trained violinist, a graduate of Berkley College of Music, a self taught studio musician and engineer, and a professionally trained vocalist. Tension is right when bringing together a blending of all genres of music into a style of rock they can call their own.
Tension is the brainchild of musician James “Wonderland” Christie (guitar and violin) and vocalist Nick Pancotto (vocals). Discovering their shared passion for music as well as the drive to spread their message, they quickly became friends and collaborators on Tension’s earlier works which have a more laden acoustic feel about them. After writing a few songs together James and Nick decided to take the next step and record their first single “The Letter”. With the help of a close friend in the Chicago recording industry (Wes Nye), James and Nick were introduced to Dave Korsak (bass) and Tony Gilbert Davis (drums). Dave and Tony became instant fans of the music and the message, becoming the permanent 3rd and 4th members of this musically diverse and driven band.
After a year of working together on blending their sound as well as their personalities, Tension is ready to take Chicago and use it as a stepping stone to musical world domination.
