Bio

Tens of Thousands is the brainchild of Jeff Aldrich, who after some fruitless years pursuing fame and fortune via his dissonant art rock projects (good plan, right?) decided to start a new band whose mission statement was to have fun, write fun catchy music, and play shows that were more like parties than concerts--where the audience blows bubbles during some songs and plays miniature plastic instruments along with others, and where the band covers songs like Britney Spears' "Toxic" (which always turns a few heads (in the good way, not the Exorcist way)). He convinced his sister Kristen to take some time away from her exploits in the NYC improv/sketch comedy scene to sing harmonies and play castanets/tambourine/kazoo/triangle, and he brought on friends Eric Reed (drums), Andrew Ranaudo (synths), and Dan Levine (bass). Playing packed weekend shows in Brooklyn and lower Manhattan, Tens of Thousands is having a great time, and they want you to have a great time too, dammit!
