Bio

Born and raised in the city of Jacksonville, Florida, the Tenth Leper was weened on music. His earlier musical influences were bands like Parliament Funkadelic, The Gap Band, The Commodores, etc. He was later on introduced to what was then the only Hip Hop to make it to the mainstream; that being The Sugar Hill Gang.
While still at a young age the Leper became a musician, learning to play the drums and later learning to play the trumpet. It would be these musical skills that would serve as the fuel to his improvisational type of flow.
In 1986, the Tenth Leper was introduced to Jesus Christ while attending Hope Chapel Inc.; the ministry which he actively attends which is now called Hope Chapel Ministries. His walk with the Lord would be tested on numerous occasions, giving him the experience of one years his senior. Raised by a single Mother after his parents divorced, the Tenth Leper held on to his convictions and feelings of God's call on his life to minister the Gospel in "his own way".
Since the age of eight years old the Tenth Leper has been a poet. However, it wasn't until he reached he age of twelve that he began to put these words to rhythm. He began rapping with his friends after church services unknowingly embarking on the road that would lead him to purpose.
In 1996, while at Florida A&M University, the Tenth Leper's dormant gift was unknowingly awakened by a roomate with an intense love for Hip Hop. As a result, he was exposed to the music of Wu-Tang Clan, Common Sense, The Roots, Boogie Monsters, Red-Man, and many others. Though trying to remain unmoved by the music, he was again stirred to write again. More importantly, by seeming interested in the music apart from its subject matter, he was able to minister to his roomate and communicate Christ.
Once affiliated with a rising Gospel rap trio named The R.E.M.N.A.N.T. (the Revitalivers of the Eternal Mentality Never Again Neglecting Truth), in 1998 he adopted the name "Tenth Leper". Eventually showing more passion than his counterparts, he successfully completed a whole album list of songs while the group as a whole only had about three or four. The group eventually went their separate ways and still the Leper is fulfilling purpose through Hip Hop to this very day.
With a well made up mind to affect every listening ear with the infectious truth of God's redemptive agenda, the Tenth Leper presses toward the mark for the prize of the high calling. With a combination of anointed lyrics, on-point delivery, and his matter-of-fact style, everyone who gives attention is sure to be touched by something ministered, brought face to face with the reality and relevance of Christ, and left with something to think about. Be clear... this is not just Hip Hop... it is ministry.
