Bio

Ten Thousand are a five-piece melodic rock band from Melbourne, Australia. Bursting onto the scene in 2011 the band quickly established itself as an unforgettable live show and it wasnt long before they recorded their eagerly-awaited debut EP "Tales From the Wasteland". The EP showcased a fresh, exciting sound; a diverse, dramatic yet sexy take on rock and roll. The band toured in support of the release with the likes of Dead Letter Circus, Electric Mary, I Am Giant and LA based rockers Juke Kartel. It wasnt long before they were headlining their own shows - highlights included their sold-out showcase at The Palaceas well as top spots at festivals such as Rock the Bay, Creepshow and Collision at the Corner.

With this rolling momentum the band once more entered the studio, this time with legendary producer Lindsay Gravina (Jet, The Living End, Magic Dirt, Spiderbait, Eskimo Joe, Shihad). With new single 'When I Get You' launched to a full room at Revolver, Ten Thousand continue touring show after show throughout the Australian summer.

Armed with a string of explosive new singles and on the cusp of recording their debut album, the band has further developed its sound, straddling new territory, fusing together irresistible hooks, spaced-out melodies, psychedelic soundscapes, a fat and fuzzed-out rhythm section and soaring, dream-like vocals.

With influences spread from Muse to Motley Crue, Ten Thousand destroy the barriers of progressive and classic rock to re-build a sound as timeless, rugged and unique as the land in which it was born.
