BIOGRAPHY

Brevard W. McCullough III, also known as Teop, also known as Myer Lanski, was born on July 28, 1982 in Baltimore, Maryland. He grew up on Luzerne & Ashland (Down the Hill) in East Baltimore, known for Dunbar High School, Patterson Park, home of Anthony Jones, Hot Summer Night’s basketball tournaments, John Hopkins hospital, Bojax Park and Northeast Market. He began hustling at a young age and accomplished and mastered a hustling lifestyle. He achieved earning money, success, and producing business deals. But, after being suspected of possession of manufacturing, possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy, Teop made a life changing decision to focus on music. Also, with the additions of his two sons, Brandon and William, it gave Teop the incentive to move into another direction in his life.

The love of music grew from early in Teop’s childhood. His love of music began in 1988/1989. Primarily, he loved the culture of the music. The break dancing, parties, clothes, shoes, and slang was the culture and the music was a manifest of it. Following the love of hip-hop, he loved the music because it drove the culture. His love of music ranged from N.W.A. to M.C. Hammer to Luther Vandross. The music that he listened to was the soundtrack of his life. Teop loved all types of music, which all had a flavor of hip-hop, but he hadn’t become a true hip-hop fan just yet.

The driving force of him becoming a hip-hop fan was when the G-funk era came out and Snoop Doggy Dog became his inspiration and the song Dre Day became the signature song that he related to. His life was emulated in hip-hop songs that he could connect with. He also loved hip-hop songs because of the art imitating life. The love of hip-hop grew into a passion and a strong devotion to becoming an artist himself.

While attending Patterson High School at the age of sixteen, hip-hop became deep-rooted in him. He participated in rap battles that would take place in the bathrooms or on school bleachers. When he battled other would-be young rappers at school he realized that he had a real talent. He developed and mastered his skills. Then Teop began attending parties and throwing rap shows and battling other talented rappers. He became known in Baltimore for his rap ability.

Although Teop recognized his talent, the hustling life called first. Then after the incident with the law, he came back to his real and true love of art/music.

Originally Teop was identified as TEOP NABRU (Urban Poet spelling backwards). This name described him as being conscientious, knowledge driven and being political (spoke about the police, government and politics). Teop Nabru is an expression. But, after realizing that he was more than just conscientious, he shortened his name to Teop (Poet).

Teop represents Baltimore – the forgotten, dark, and dangerous place. Nighttime is the roughest. Baltimore blends the brutality with the prosperity, those who are shining and making money. Nighttime is life juggling, but if you survive to the daytime you will shine. Teop wants daytime all the time and to bring the music audience a new, unique style that only the finest from Baltimore can bring.

Teop wants to be part of an organization that will allow him to spread his wings, like Def Jam; you definitely have the opportunity to do so with Def Jam. Def Jam is the originator, it is responsible for spawning hip-hop with artists such as LL Cool J, Beastie Boys, Fat Boys, EPMD, DMX, and Jay-Z. Being able to collaborate with Jay-Z would be reason enough to be a part of Def Jam. Jay-Z is the best M.C., the innovator. He went through the struggle of becoming an established artist and he would be a great teacher to learn from either by word or by just viewing his actions.

Teop can become the next big ICON. He brings street credibility. His style is versatile and on any song he can bring his brilliant and distinctive flavor to the music. Teop’s music is laid-back, hustle and grind music. His real life events are expressed in his music. He transports truth about his experiences, trials and tribulations to his music. He is very hardworking, dedicated and loyal to his craft. He believes in his music and wants to offer to the public an innovative and new smartness that will be appreciated if given the opportunity to showcase his talent.

Verse I:
Got to get things right, I’m telling two women I want to get wit dem all in the same night
See I got these two girls both straight tight
I can’t choose, can’t loose either of my boo’s
How did I get here let’s rewind things about ten years
Everytime I was out she was out there
(yeah) She lived up the next block and I would stare
Her name was TARA
Over the years we got to know each other
Got to know who we is, I found out that I loved her
I wifed her at 16, had a new gleam
I’ve been wit her ever since till this new fling
Now this new thing, diva, flashy Benz coupe mean
Her name is Ashley
And actually she got me havin mood swings
Can’t go home to Tara, the shorty do her thing

Hook:
It’s getting crazy, dealing with these two ladies, lately my girl wanna have my baby (wanna to have my baby)

It’s ridiculous dealing wit these two women
Can’t tell one about the other, how did I get in this (uh huh)

Stuck between these two worlds
What am I goin do wit both these girls
Two main squeezes in separate cities
Both found out man this shit aint pretty

Verse II:
Let me put you on to the story of my shorty, TARA
Held a nigga down since 40’s
And of course we got love for each other
But it never crossed me that I would love another
I feel guilty when I touched her
Filthy when I make love to her
I put another woman up in her
She’ll kill me, all the years she stuck wit son
All the tears, I swear I’m the lucky one
Got my money right when my money was done
When my tummy was tight she was my honey bun
She been through the pistols, criminals, talking subliminal in her residential
She condone everything I was into
Cause she was a humble chick
On the low mumble tip
Good girl but at times she help me double shit
You know in the kitchen boiling bubble shit

Hook:
It’s getting crazy, dealing with these two ladies, lately my girl wanna have my baby (wanna to have my baby)

Can’t tell one about the other, how did I get in this (uh huh)

Verse III:
This wasn’t the first that I was unfaithful or the second or the third
Never claimed to be an angel
But I never loved them
They do, I be like, hey you, they knew
I was graceful
Cause I am so tasteful
Now I got ASHLEY asking me, can you wait boo?
And this girl here, all day twirl her hair, pop her gum, her mouth won’t stop for nothing
Trips to Tibet, jets won’t stop for nothing
My old girl never had me fly London
But to ASHLEY stuntin is reality
I met her this year and shorty wants to marry me
Shorty wants to carry me
I’m like, NAH, I’m a grown man
Girl, I gotta wear my own pants
I be lost, she speaking that talk
Cause moms Puerto Rican from the Bronx

Hook:

Now I spit it HOT
Got one time at my show
Somebody split your top
Niggas got glocks at my show
See I do it for the hood
Niggas jugglin white snow
Reaching for their cheese under their sleeve a little ice on the low

Verse II:

Baltimore we play little and hustle harder
Visitors stay for a little but never come past the Harbor
Central bookings will starve ya
So big names switch blocks
To alter this sick game
Where niggas pitch rock
Ho’s pitch twat
Old heads sniff dope
And everybody got a Dundee
Your ass’ll get poked
Strong arms, no arms, your ass’ll get choked
Found in Lincoln Park, body wrapped around your coat (uh huh)

(One More Time)
Eastside stack their cheese high
Westside specify on their ride to show you how they get by
Saturday nights hopping from club One’s to Hammers
Following no dress codes and the D’s can’t stand us
Pop bottles for the cameras, we posin’ for the binoculars
They watchin’ us in the van, recording our profits sums
Golddiggas on niggas they lovin’ my logic son
Out of state chicks who aint never been to my state, shit
Let me tell you, young niggas under 13 rebellious
Over 14 got rap sheets and assaults in the 1st degree
It almost hurts to breed
Fuck a chick and birth a seed
60% to catch Herpes or a worse disease
Niggas got this work of D, work of C
Others crabs snapping at your legs that’s why it hurts to leave
Rest in peace to my cousin Rocks
Man my nigga Pop
Baltimore is forever in me since I chopped my first nick of rock
