TERESA INDEBETOU BAND REVIEW

COOKING:

"Music with lots of dynamics... The piano playing seems to be inspired of an early Jarret. A successful production.”
OrkesterJournalen 2012

"...Teresa has her own profile, completely removed from clichés....A record that shouldn’t disappear in the avalanche of music..."
Lira 2012

FLOWING:

“...It’s well composed and melodic... Here are some instrumental songs, among them Meditation, where Teresa shows her strength as a pianist and composer...A very interesting debut. ”
OrkesterJournalen dec 2010

“Teresa Indebetou has a thoughtful, individual way of playing the piano... There’s a genuine joy and curiousity in this music.” Lira 2010
“Really tight and inspired playing...The music is playful, full of go and with that flow that the title suggests..”
Nya Wermlands Tidning 2010

“High-class piano jazz with a brazilian touche, that sounds really, really good.”
Smålands-posten 2010

CONCERTS:

“Very cool latinjazz. Music full of nerve....The band play very well together and an aura of coolness surround them as they play”
Ttela, Vänersborg 2010

”...The delicious piano playing creates an easy feel that lifts us to musical heights. It’s grand to make it sound that simple.” Borås Tidning 2012 -

Bio

From Gothenburg comes Teresa Indebetou with her band to share their own piano based jazz with both Brazilian and Nordic influenses.  Their music is melodic and rhythmic with lots of dynamics and plenty of improvisations. The instrumental music is mixed with songs having thoughtful texts.

Members:

Teresa Indebetou: piano (,vocals)

Jenny Kristoffersson: double bass

Martina Almgren: drums

They have played at several scenes in Sweden, about 30 jazz clubs, but also festivals, museums, churchs and lots of other venues.

They have received financial support from the government twice.

They are now working on their third album, Present.Their previous records Flowing (2010) and Cooking (2012) have received great reviews in the magazines LIRA and OrkesterJournalen.

LIRA writes about Cooking: Teresa has her own profile, completely removed from clichs.... A record that shouldn't disappear in the avalanche of music.
