Teresa Hart

Teresa Hart is about to release her new album fueled by her melodic voice and the power and passion of her energetic performances. Teresa writes simple songs about complex things: love, belonging, searching. Phrases spin, emotions evolve, and the melodies lift-off and then soar.

She has come a long way from the street where she was often seen busking outside in the middle of winter just to survive. She’s paid her dues having played most clubs in Toronto and touring throughout Ontario. After going on some pretty seedy tours with different bands she hooked up with pop-punk band Fidget and did some great shows getting rave reviews on her lead playing. Being a co-writer in that band was not enough though and she wanted to get her own music out.

After spending the last few years recording a multitude of songs at her studio, she is obsessed with getting her material finished. Sometimes staying awake for days at a time, this is the only way she feels she can get it done. She does all the parts herself, and records, mixes and masters the songs as well. That’s how she got the name Spacegirl as she is definitely in her own little world. Her music stops her from being self destructive like she had been in the past.
She is now putting finishing touches on the new album LaLaLa. The album should be wrapped up by the spring and then it will be time to tour and play festivals. The goal is to travel around the world and play music for the rest of her life. Expect to see her boundless energy at one of her exciting shows.
