Teresa's new 2004 Miami demo-album shows that this exotic headturner has what it takes to make an int'l career. Teresa was born in the Philippines as half Filipina and half Indian. In 1994 she won an Island-wide singing contest and after finishing high school Teresa moved to Manila and enrolled at the Center For Pop-Music supporting her studies by singing in major night-spots and hotels. After attending an advanced course at the Center for Pop-Music Teresa was "discovered" by a freelance agent and in mid-2000 signed with Global Records for the release of her debut-album "Kumusta Ka" Teresa during 2001 held a number of promotional concerts both in Manila and Cebu as well as numerous appearances in popular TV and radio programs. Two of her songs "Kumusta Ka" and "Muling Binuhay Mo" made it to the top-10 on the popular FM-stations. Teresa has recevied 3 prominent awards: 1. “Sentimental Diva" 2. Presidential Award “Who is Who in the Philippines” 3. National Excellence Award" as Outstanding Young Entertainer 2001. Upon invitation of Hipposonic Music in Vancouver Canada, Teresa in 2002 recorded an demo album with int'l songwriters and producers. Teresa has since then combined local shows with shopping for an international record deal. In Jan 2004 Teresa went to Miami and recorded three new pop-songs with legendary Lewis Martinee former BMI and Billboard Songwriter of the Year as producer.
