Ternion

Ternion is a rock band formed in Richmond, Virginia. With a very wide variety of musical influence, our style is a blend of Classic Rock, Blues, Progressive,and a hint of Classical, yet maintaining a Modern Rock edge. Our mission is to shed light on subjects and problems that are often overlooked but are common in our current culture. Our name, "Ternion" comes from Latin influence meaning, “A set of three.” That name is paired with the scripture verse Ecclesiastes 4:12, “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” We believe that as we carry out our mission to spread hope and self worth through our music, that we have unity and accountably in our community as a band, as a family, and with our fanbase. Our new EP Out of Fire is fully focused on the major issue of depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and what it feels like to go through this dark journey. This is a topic very personal and relatable to each member of Ternion. The EP tells a full story from the most raw expression of despair and finishes with a hopeful outlook as the main character learns to find hope in God and begins an ascent out of their journey through depression. We hope that our music will give encouragement to all who listen no matter where they are in life. Our band consists of 4 members.

Our content is family friendly. We keep our speech wholesome on and off stage and have no strongholds in substance abuse. We believe strongly that we should keep pure in every aspect of our life and grasp the meaning of integrity. That means who we are on stage will be the same as when we’re walking around the venue, sitting in the dressing room, or simply walking down the street. Ternion strives to be a band that lives out what we say. We hope that all who may listen to our music or attend a show will leave impacted by our message lyrically and refreshed spiritually.
