After the Bajofondo experience of updating tango music, the multi-award winning and mega producer Gustavo Santaolalla presents TERRAPLÉN: a mixture of Argentinean folk music and new tendencies of electronic music. For this purpose, he called 3 prestigious musicians and producers of the Argentinean scene: Daniel Martín, Diego Vainer and Gaby Kerpel. The result of this process is the material released by the end of 2009 through Surco/Universal record label, which takes south American genres such as bagualas, zambas, carnavalitos, milongas, chacareras y vidalas, blending the traditional instruments with electronics to bring a new sound to Argentinean folk music. TERRAPLÉN live show puts on stage musicians, computers, singers and traditional instruments giving to the audience a party with dance and rhythms.
