Lyrics

Old Soul Music

Written By: Terry LaMont/ Kenny Daniels/Tim Jeffers

Gimme that old Gimme that old soul Music
Gimme that old Gimme that old soul Music
Gimme that old Gimme that old soul Music
Gimme that old Gimme that old soul Music

When I think back to those old Transister days
I recall folks dancin' in the streets
Back when Motown made sweet old soul music
The kind that made you get up on your feet

There was Smokey singing 'bout emotion
and the 4 tops with their Bernadette (Bernadette)
Young Miss Spector said to be her baby
and Mr. Scaggs wasn't lowdown yet
Chorus
I want some of that old soul Music (Gimme that old soul Music)
Nobody seems to want to make it no more (Gimme that old soul Music)
Just give me that Old Soul Music (Gimme that old soul Music)
you don't have to ak me why or what for
Chorus repeat
Sometimes I wonder where they all moved on
when I hear an old sweet soul song
and as I listen and it makes me move on
I realize it will always live on
Chorus
Gimme that old Gimme that old soul Music
Gimme that old Gimme that old soul Music
Gimme that old Gimme that old soul Music
Gimme that old Gimme that old soul Music repeat and fade

Desperately

Written By: Terry LaMont/ Kenny Daniels

Baby, I need you to call me
call me, desperately
Baby, I need you to want me
want me, desperately

the sun don't shine since you went away
lights on main street have all gone to gray
I need you bad like a crop needs a rain
You got nothing to lose and all to gain.

Baby, I need you to call me, Desperately

Baby, I need you to hold me
hold me, Desperately
Baby, I need you to love me
love me, desperately

You'll not like what I have to say.
You don't need me to show you the way.
Prince charming ain't my middle name.
Tonight's pleasure is tomorrow's pain.

Baby, I need you to redeem me
redeem me, desperately
Baby, I need you to save me
save me, desperately

so come on home and then we'll see
whether the spirits are shining on me
my love for you is the depth of your pain.
it hits me like the sound of a lonesome train.

Baby, I need you to call me, Desperately

Call Me

Written By: Terry LaMont/ Kenny Daniels/Tim Jeffers

Well I'm trying to get a message to you
and I'm doing everything that I can
I have called you on the phone
you're not home
I even went and called all your friends

so Baby, wont you call me
I just need to hear the sound of your voice
and I kn ow we can talk about it
just gimme some kind of a choice
pick up ther phone and call me, call me

call me in the morning call me late at night
call me any time you want 'cause anytime'd be allright
call me in the morning call me when you work
call me on the telephone I hate acting like a jerk
And I know you know the number
'cause I wrote it on the wall
and I left a hundred messages if you've listened to'em all
pick up the phone and call me, call me

So I'm waitin' by the phone and I'm ready
I've just gotta get a message to you
and I know you can't hold out much longer
I think I'm gettin' through to you
so baby, won't you call me
I just need to hear the sound of your voice
and I know we can talk about it
just gimme some kind of a choice
pick up the phone and call me, call me
pick up the phone and call me, call me

Is That a Yes?

Written By: Terry LaMont/Kenny Daniels

Lately, I been thinkin
about you in that little red dress
it excites me its so flimsy
how it stays on is anybodys guess
you looked turned on, your eyes say come on
lets do something to regret
Baby, lets get moving, lets get this show on the road

Is that, a yes
let's make the bed a mess
come on, lets go
I'll cover you with kisses from head to toe.
and baby, you and me
lets do something that we agree
like raise hell, drink Muscatel
If love is the question,
is that a yes?

Later, hearts are quiet
and your dress, lies puddled on the floor
my mind's, in a riot
about you, and the sexy things you do
How long, can we go on, fingers slowly
up and down my spine
it makes me, think surely
we can go one more round
Is that, a yes
let's make the bed a mess
come on, lets go
I'll cover you with kisses from head to toe.
and baby, you and me
lets do something that we agree
like raise hell, drink Muscatel
If love is the question,
is that a yes
Lately, I been thinkin
You knowabout you and what we're gonna do
you know leaving gets you nowhere
go and get that party dress.

Is that, a yes
let's make the bed a mess
come on, lets go
I'll cover you with kisses from head to toe.
and baby, you and me
lets do something that we agree
like raise hell, drink Muscatel
If love is the question,
is that a,is that a, is that a yes?
