Bio

BACKGROUND
Terry Geil started playing piano when he was very young. He impressed audiences at a young age with his musical talents. Terry has a variety of projects going on.

VICTIMS
Terry Geil joined Victims of Internal Decay, a death metal band popular in the NW US, in 1989 as the replacement bassist. After recording 1 demo, he was moved over to guitar and began sharing vocal duties. In 1993, Victims were signed to Grind Core Records. Victims of Internal Decay broke up in 1995 after having 5 releases.

THE BONE JARS
It was also in 1989 that Terry Geil formed The Bone Jars, a classic rock tribute band. The Bone Jars are high energy classic rock and are still playing bars in the local area. Terry plays Guitar and sings in this project, honoring such greats as Hendrix, Vaughn, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, amongst other familiar hits of the 60's, 70's, and 80's.

SULLEN
In 1997, Full of songs and lyrics, Terry convinced Pat Wombacher, the Drummer from Victims, to play Bass in his new project, Sullen. With Pat on board, and Scott Young, a power drummer, the 3-piece was complete. Based on influences from Nirvana, Black Sabbath, Monster Magnet, Kyuss/QOTSA, and an eclectic range of others, Sullen quickly churned out 30+ originals in their first year. With Pat and Terry having played together for several years and hundreds of live shows beforehand, it added an extra element of chemistry and tightness to the band. Sullen has over 40 original songs, and plays over 50 cover songs (including 40+ Nirvana covers, see BLEACH below). Sullen has played near 100 shows in 6 years of playing. They have a self released greatest hits live CD, and are currently working towards recording their first full length release.

BLEACH
In 2000, Sullen decided to play a Nirvana Tribute Show. They played close to 50 songs, both familiar and rare, to an audience of close to 300 with little advertising. Excited over the response, The power trio added it to their repetroire. Sullen is excited to be playing shows as Bleach during the winter and spring of 2005.

DOMESTICIDE
In 2003, both Terry and Pat realized they were missing the hardcore from their lives. Pat missed playing drums as well. The pair hooked up with Kevin Warren and Ryan Rook, who played together in PIKER, a popular Eugene punk band that had recently split. Instant chemistry ensued and DOMESTICIDE was born, bringing a unique sound to the Eugene, Oregon area. Domesticide has recorded and released two demos, and are in the process of recording their first full length release. Domesticide is quickly gaining a strong fan-base amongst the Metal fans in the eugene area. In 2005, they are looking to expanding both North and South on I-5.

TERRY GEIL (solo project)
In 2004, Terry put together a collection of songs from his solo side. Playing all the instruments himself, Terry Geil shows more of his catchy riffs on the tongue-in-cheek titled release, 'Gay Songs For Gay People'. Terry blazes through a version of Frank Zappa's 'My Guitar wants to Kill your mama' on the upcoming album. Look for it soon at www.metaldaddy.com

Terry has been very fond of music all his life, and was fortunate to have parents to share the interest and nurture him along to bring out his talent in both his playing and his ear for music of all genres.
