Terry Horton

My music is a synthesis of jazz, rock, pop and classical elements. I have endeavored to create a wholly unique musical experience.

Musical influences include Bill Evans, Miles Davis, John McLaughlin, Herbie Hancock, Jean-Luc Ponty, Yusef Lateef, Isao Tomita and Weather Report.

I compose, arrange and perform all of my music.

I would consider myself a composer as opposed to a stage performer. I have very little formal musical training; I merely strive to create beauty.

From my first album, 'Ascent':

1. Bridge Of Broken Hearts (2:46)
2. Creampuff (2:17)
3. Route 69 (3:30)
4. Orange Moon (4:55)
5. All That Zazz* (2:59)
6. Nayarit (3:36)
7. Pool Of Light (3:43)
8. Sand Painting (3:33)
9. Cloud Time (3:55)
10. Run For The Sun (3:09)
11. Lullaby For E.J.** (1:30)

*Dedicated to the memory of my late friend John V. Zazzara, who was called "Zazz" by those of us who knew him from way back. John introduced me to Bill Evans (both musically and, at a couple of Bill's concerts, in person), who was married to his sister, Nenette. I miss ya, Zazz -- ya mug!

**E.J. is my youngest daughter, Erica Jayne. She is the light of my life.
