Terry Rand

Terry Rand has been playing guitar and singing original songs since 1992. His music was first presented primarily in a solo, acoustic format in coffeehouses and festivals throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts and then branched out into an electric based, four piece rock band. His songwriting style runs across different musical genres including country, folk, pop and roots rock. Although acoustic music is deep in his musical roots he is very much at home playing with other musicians and turning up the volume on his guitar. The current lineup of The Terry Rand Band includes long time musical collaborator Rich Gordon (lead guitar), Mike Mastracchio(bass) and Emmett Hale (drums). Rough demos have just been completed in preparation for a forthcoming recording debut. Terry's music draws on influences from bands such as The Buffalo Springfield, Neil Young, The Rolling Stones, Wilco, The Jayhawks, Gram Parsons, Steve Earle, Tom Petty and Mathew Sweet.
