There's Something Wrong

Written By: Terry Sigler

There’s Something Wrong

We are poisoning the oceans
There’s a hole in the sky
Will the forests ever spring back to life?

When the sand on the beaches
Turns to oil covered death
Don’t you know that it cuts like a knife?

When will we learn that we’re killing ourselves,
Will our children pay the price?
When they turn and ask you where have all the animals gone
Will you be able to look them in the eyes?

And you know this can’t go on
Don’t you see there’s something wrong?
And we can’t keep doing this over and over
You know there’s something wrong

What will we do when we can’t walk outside,
For fear the sun will burn us alive?
How can we turn our backs on what’s going on,
Have we lost the will within to survive?
Industry rapes Mother Nature
And we turn and walk away
Will we wait until there’s nothing left but hot desert sands?
We may not have another day

And you know this can’t go on
Don’t you see there’s something wrong?
And we can’t keep doing this over and over
You know there’s something wrong
