My name is Tesa Tolbert Ruiz, pka. "TESA" I'm 5 ft. 2 in., and I was born in Sulphur,Louisiana. First and foremost, the greatest influence in my life has been God. He has blessed me with a gift and I am very thankful. Second would be my Dad, who really got me interested in music. I grew up listening to artist like Janis Joplin, The Beatles, The Eagles, etc. Music has always been an outlet that I use to poor any and all my thoughts and emotions into. It gives me the ability to say something I normally would not say, or put into words things I feel, but don't know how to express. I believe music connects with one's soul and has the power to heal. That's what I love most about it. I am also grateful for my husband Mike, who has supported me every step of the way in this journey, along with my family. Last but not least my manager Julian Williams, who is always pushing me to take it to another level.
