Bio
Texito Langa is a Cape Town based, Composer-Drummer-Percussionist from Maputo, Mozambique.
His Band, Texito Langa, is composed by Hélder Gonzaga on Bass, who in addition to being a bassist is also a composer, arranger, with Diploma in Jazz Performance by the University of Cape Town; Valter "Mr. Mabas" Mabasso on Guitar, virtuoso and versatile, a great composer too, and a limitless source of melodies e harmony packed with rhythm; and Ivan Manyike, Saxophonist, flutist and clarinetist who is in the field of music since his childhood, graduated from Eduardo Mondlane University in 2005 and a lecturer at ECA - School of Communication and Arts, in Maputo.
The Band performs Texito's original compositions which are a fusion of traditional african rhythms with jazz, funk, rock, reggae and the rest of the world.
Texito has worked with so many musicians and artists from different backgrounds and has developed his own voice, a very unique sound and way of playing the drums.
