TFFA began as many bands did as 4 bored teenagers with a little bit of musical talent and alot of free time. Over the course of 5 years that musical talent grew and Too Far From Amsterdam carved out a unique sound. TFFA has everything from heavy songs you can mosh to, to cathcy almost poppy songs you can shake that ass to, all while maintaining a unique easily identifiable tone.
The wide variety of things we do makes it hard to pin one specific genre to us. We aren't one of those bands where every song just sounds like a slight variation on that other song you just heard. We are influenced by a lot of very different bands such as Coheed and Cambria, the Misfits, Iron Maiden, Dredg, and Foo Fighters to name a few.
In the spring of 2009 TFFA set out to record our 6 song EP "Fire, Floods, and the Black Death." We are currently gigging around south Alabama and northwest Florida. Branching out, expanding our fan base, and establishing ourselves as one of the best bands in the southeast is our top priority.
