Tha Difference

“The Difference” is an up and coming California artist originally from Pennsylvania born under the name Da’Nequa Glenn.  In first grade, she won her first regional gold medal in The Most Creative Writing Contest in Pontiac, Michigan.  This prompted both her mother and brother to take notice. They both knew there was something special that needed to be fostered because The Diff would write her own stories, draw her own characters, and never once did she realize that she was gifted with an unordinary talent of creative writing.  

By age 13, her older brother noticed she was ready for the next level and he added her to his group called “Share Money”.  After an inspiring first session, “The Diff” then started to put everything she had into her own music forming a group called Gungang. The group was formed with her mentors Sonic Boom and Dee Productions.  They created the local hit “Play Your Part”

Following the success of “Play Your Part”, Sonic Boom separated from the Gungang.  This allowed The Diff and Dee Productions to collaborate under “Lions Den” to make her first mixtape “Pinkberry Bluntville”.  Pinkberry Bluntville held many local hits like Legendary Dream, Hatin On Me ft. Tex, My Hood ft. Dee, and a few others.  Once Pinkberry Bluntville was released, The Diff and Dee Productions went back to work on a second mixtape.  Unfortunately, this sophmore mixtape was not completed because The Diff moved to Augusta, Georgia which eventually landed her in Oceanside, CA.  

In 2013, The Diff  graduated from Mediatech Institute in Oceanside,CA with an audio engineering certificate.  Mediatech was a second home where The Diff met the most diverse group of musicians and videographers. Not to mention, this is where she actually signed her “deal” with the CEO of Koncrete Records.  This happened right in the lobby of MediaTech!
