Bio

Tha Black Order consist of two artist, Q.Z. which is the Hip-Hop side, and J-5ive, which is the R&B side. Q.Z. encountered all the hardships any young and devious teenager does. His life soon changed when he found a way out by making beats for child hood friends in Biloxi, MS. One day he wrote a song and everyone raved over it and said he you should try hip-hop too. His main objective is to touch many people with his music, and bring the industry what he feels is "missing" right now "good music for the public." Q.Z. Has encountered many ups and downs in his 23 years of life. Recently in December of last year he lost his 1st cousin, whom was like a brother to him to police brutality in the county prison. Before that tragedy occurred, Q.Z. was unfortunatly a part of the worst Natural disater in history,Hurricane Katrina. Q.Z. and his family, lost everything in the storm, but he did not loose his drive and passion for the music. He and fellow Group Member continued to record even with no place to stay. Now that's what you call determination. Throughout it all, Q.Z. has kept his head up high and beliefs in Gods hands. Only 23 years old, he's already made the Vibe Magazine, with his fellow group mate, J-5ive, Shot an independent video, interviewed by ample radio stations, and radio spins in Germany. Q.Z. is a real fan of real Hip-Hop, and shuns "disposable music". He believes Music is timeless and should be recorded in a timeless fashion. He's already had an album under his belt entitled "Know Me B4 u Judge" which sold over 5,000 copies on the internet and in Mississippi alone. Q.Z. was an Co-C.E.O. of Black Key Entertainment LLC, in which he and J-5ive and a few others started in legally in 2004. So as you see, he isn't just a rapper, he's a producer, songwriter, engineer, arranger, C.E.O. and artist. He wears many shoes, but he fits them all very comfortably! "I'm just in love with music and the whole process of creating it" says Q.Z. But one things for sure, things young entrepreneur shoots for the stars, and rarely misses. His Influences are mainly "real hip-hop artist like Jay-Z, Nas, and Rahkim.

Joshua "J-5ive" Leonard is an accomplished singer and songwriter. In the fall of 2005, the 25 year old from Biloxi, Mississippi was left homeless after the devastation of hurricane Katrina. The temporary setback was heart wrenching, but it did not stop him from pursuing his dream. Since then, J-5ive has caught the eye of many of the industry's top entertainers and labels with his underground singles "Love you for the 1st time" and "I'm feelin' you." But J-5ive's talents don't stop there. He is regarded as the "TOTAL PACKAGE" because of his ability to incorporate hip-hop dance routines into his music performances. J-5ive's singing ability has been compared to Jamie Foxx, and his dancing ability to that of Ginuwine, Michael Jackson, and Omarion. Although the 25 year old likes to sing R&B, he would rather sing over rap and hip-hop beats. Born in Dade County, raised in Maryland, he has a personal preference for hip-hop music. He'd much rather sing a love song over a rap beat. Not your average singer, but he has the looks and the body to take the industry by storm. In addition, he has been featured in popular magazines such as BlackPlanet News, Street Report, and VIBE magazine, earning him and his label mate Q.Z opening acts for major artists "Chopper" & "DJ UNK." He has written and sang hooks for various R&B and hip-hop artists as well. As one half of the new duo, "THA BLACK ORDER", J-5ive and Q.Z have their upcoming album in the works with plans ..ping fall of 2009. The album has many different major producers on it to give it a real hip-hop type of sound.

The Name Black Order represents the "Order" they guys want to restore order back to the music industry. A lot of music sounds the same, so the guys want to bring music back to it's roots and essence, thus restoring "Order" back to Hip-Hop and R&B
