Tha Brain is a KC native that has been rapping and playing hip hop shows for over 7 years now. Still in his early twenties, Tha Brain has already been given the title “The most necessary addition to hip hop” by the local rap community. His style is one that reminds the listener of early Jay Z meets Tech Nine and his message is one that is being embraced by many locals. Tha Brain is masterful at combining intricate hip hop grooves with meaningful lyrics to produce a sound all his own!

The Midwest’s own, THA BRAIN, was born in the heart of Kansas City, MO and raised in South KC. To date, he has “stuck out” and been compared among some of the most elite talent in hip-hop. The sound is unmatched but if it could be compared to existing artists, if you mix: Kanye West's introspect,Outkast's originality,E-40's energy and innovation, Jay Z's cleverness and Eminems wordsmithing, u might get something remotely close to THA BRAIN. His rap career was put on pause when he decided to pursue an education at HBCU Langston U. Fast forward to his arrival back to KC, THA BRAIN is dedicated to making sure his “breathe of fresh air”, legendary music is heard by the world. College radio is embracing multiple singles which have made several top charts consecutively, as well as held the #1 spot at his local radio station. He also has a knack for writing “theme songs” for commercial use and has done so for the likes of B.E.T., Barkley (Marketing Company), UFC fighters, a documentary, weekly radio shows, talents shows, you name it!! He is a “studio rat”, addicted to creating and recording new, innovative HITS weekly. One of his most recent pieces of art was a political song titled “The Obama Ticket”, landing 200,000 youtube hits roughly one month (and counting)… not to mention thousands of myspace hits daily (and growing)!! Anything going on in KC, THA BRAIN is there to breathe on the mic. This has resulted in winning multiple competitions. He is quickly becoming the “go-to” feature artist for numerous projects in his region. Those seeking one or two-hit wonders need not waste there time. You haven’t seen, touched, smelled, felt, or heard anything like this in a long time. Something legendary has emerged from the middle of the map. Ladies and Gentleman, we give you… "THA BRAIN"
