"Leslie Acker of "The Sunday Evening Sound""

“TDR has an extra ordinary, unique sound of their own. With the pleasing exceptional strong vocals from Andrea and the sweet harmonies from both Andrea and Rebecca Stevens, you can't NOT stop and JUST listen. I think there version of "Come Together" is better than Steven Tyler's and I would even say the Beatles! The keyboard arrangements from Jeff Yetter and the Fiddle arrangements from Stevens flowing around each other sounds very soulful. ‘TDR's music gets into ya’” - WQFS 90.9fm says:

"Eric Chilton of WFMY News 2"

“If you haven’t heard these guys before you’re in for a real treat. A year or two ago, out at the Center City Park, I heard this band play and they’re phenomenal. It’s kind of a mix, it’s like a roots/rock band, a little bit of funk a little bit of bluegrass, and the biggest voice to come out of the littlest lead singer you’ve ever seen in your life!” - Greensboro, NC

"High Country Press"

"spine tingling musical moments"
"well oiled brand of funky eclectic roots music"
"funky soul to electrified bluegrass to soulful rock and several points in between"
- Boone, NC

"YES Weekly"

"winsome back-country funk and poetics that is fast becoming a signature sound" - Greensboro, NC

Bio

Consisting of some of the hardest working musicians in the industry, Thacker Dairy Road blends a unique combination of Americana, Roots and Soul. Focusing primarily on original material with a few choice covers, this quintet delivers dynamic, high-energy performances fronted by Andrea Thorne's rich, soulful vocals. Rebecca White's soaring harmonies and fiddle playing coupled with guitarist Josh Casstevens generate an eclectic range of melodic sounds. Drummer Jonathan McMillan and bassist George Smith make up the infectious rhythm foundation that complete TDR. With members of TDR having played countless music festivals on the east coast and shared stages with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gov't Mule, Marshall Tucker, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Charlie Daniels, Drive By Truckers, DJ Logic, John Popper, Jimmy Herring, Goose Creek Symphony, Larry Keel, Peter Rowan, Donna the Buffalo and many more, anticipation of the band's debut CD is mounting. Having recently finished recording, the album's release is currently slated for January 2009.
