Bio
Thalamus formed in 2006. Our sound is tight, heavy riff rock, remenissent of the 70's but with a modern touch. Influences span from Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Captain Beyond, Thin Lizzy to Spiritual Beggars, Soundgarden, Trouble, Down. We've taken our influences and made something to call our own. Not a lot of bands play riff based rock like we do, but pound out chords with blurry guitar sound (stoner rock), we want to pay homage to the bands of the 70's and do it like they did, authentic blues based/ hard and heavy rock´n´roll. Thalamus won the 2007 Emergenza Nordic Challenge and released their debut album "Beneath a dying sun" 2008, and has earned excellent review's in the EU and US. We've been playing gigs around Sweden and are now trying to expand to the EU.
