Thallie Ann Seenyen

I am an electronic singer/songwriter currently based in Mauritius Island. I have spent several years in Manchester where I was working with Mancunian producers at Plug-in Studios and collaborating over the internet with electronic music producers from all over the world. I upload my acapellas on Soundcloud and allow any producer to play around with them. I find it very exciting to hear remixes of my songs and how my vocals can be used to sound different. Soundcloud also opened doors to collaborations with producers worldwide who, after hearing my acapellas, contact me to write and sing on their own tracks.

Working most of the time through the internet, I figured that I could work from anywhere in the world and hence recently decided to move back to Mauritius where I grew up. I still write new songs everyday and produce my own vocals at home for my many collaborations of different music styles and I love it.

During my stay in Manchester, I also supported artists such as The Fall, Chiddy Bang and performed live on stage with Gorillaz (as part of their gospel choir) in their first Manchester concert. I also spent a lot of time at specialist underground student club nights in Manchester where I would sing while the DJ was playing, freestyling over dubstep, base and uk funky instrumentals.

I am self-published and have set up a UK label Dappa Cherry Ltd to release my music. I hence own all the rights to the songs in my repertoire. My first album ‘Queen Of Heartache’ is out now and at the moment I am approaching music bloggers with my tracks. My goal is to, one day, get synchronisation deals for my music.
