Thalon

Having been in youth ministry for 18 years, I was in bad need of a new,
fresh idea. In a position saturated with bands, musicians and
speakers, Thalon absolutely blew me away. I was amazed with their
heart for my kids. For example, I offered to take them on to the hotel
after they played their set on the day that they arrived because they
had been on the road and were very tired. Their first question was,
"What are the kids doing after the set?" When I told them that the
kids were going to stay after and play games, the band explained that
the music set was only to 'get them in the door' and that their focus
was to get to the know the kids. They stayed after the set, in spite
of being weary, played games and built relationships with the kids for
another hour and a half. Thalon's devotion to God, character and
talents are all trophies in the Kingdom!

The guys form Thalon were awesome. Apart from their great music, their
love for the Lord is what I enjoyed most of all. They were fun to be
with before and after the concert. They loved to share their heart with
everyone they met at the show and made you feel like you were their
best friend by the time they left. Thank you for putting me in contact

Here in the Refuge Student Ministry, we are big on worship and we love
to check out different worship bands. We have had a lot of bands come
in and lead worship…some were just ok and some blew us away. Thalon is
one of those that blew us away. Their music was great, but that is not
what did it for us, what did it was their heart for God and love for
our kids. After the worship set was over, they asked me if they could
hang out with our kids. They stayed for the next 2 or 3 hours and just
got to know our students. It is that heart and life examples that I
want my kids to see. I appreciate Thalon and their ministry and at
Refuge they have made life-long friends and fans. They are the best!
I cannot wait until we worship with them again….and we will worship
with them again!

The First Baptist Church Youth Ministry of Starkville, MS had the
opportunity to host the guys of Thalon on a Wednesday night. Being
involved in youth ministry for many years, you see all kinds of groups
come in to lead. Occasionally musical groups will come to the church
only interested in playing their music and then are content to leave
without much interaction with the people they’ve come to ‘minister’ to.
What impressed me so much about Thalon, apart from their giftedness as
musicians, came down to two things. First was their obvious care and
concern for the students. They were available as the students arrived
and did not even begin to break down their gear until the last student
left. Second was their depth. I love music AND the entertainment
associated with it, but in sharing their heart they emphasized the
point of why they do what they do – all for His glory and the sharing
of the gospel of Christ. I highly recommend the guys of Thalon.

The concert by Thalon was awesome! The guys were excellent and
practiced what they preached. We had one young lady accept Christ as
her Savior as the result of the concert. Our youth group will never be
