Bio

Thamires Tannous is a Brazilian singer, based in São Paulo. Her voice is unique, with a beautiful, clean and deep color. Thamires is also an awarded singer and has participated of Brazilian festivals such as Grão de Música Award.  She's released a new single-clip, named Desaviso. The production is signed by the austrian guitarist based in Brazil, Michi Ruzitschka. The arrangements are composed by afro-brazilian typical percussion instruments, acoustic guitars, violin, bass and synths.

Thamires also sings in a project called "Fronteiras", a group formed by her, 'viola caipira'( a typical 10-string kind of guitar, traditionally used in the countryside of Brazil), 7-string guitar and drums. The rhythms played for the group are originated in the borders of Brazil with Argentina and Paraguay, such as Chamamé, Guarânia, Zamba and Milonga.

In 2014, she released her first album, 'Canto para Aldebarã', produced by the important Brazilian musician Dante Ozzetti.  The instrumentation of the group gives the arrangements their unique flavor. Featured instruments are the viola caipira, acoustic guitar, acordeon, violins, derbaks and djembes.
Thamires has played all around Brazil and also in Paris, city where she lived for 6 months in 2014, and studied in the Didier Lockwood's school of music, CMDL (Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood).
