The Thankful Birds refuse to settle. They can’t be just indie-rock, just jazz or jazz-fusion, just funk, or even just rock. They aspire to do it all, to have it all, and to play it all. This quartet has been described as a modern reinvention of 40’s jazz, a new twist on 70’s funk, as well an accomplished rock band that goes beyond power chords and transcends radio ready repeats.
