Bio

In our universe it’s a very common occurrence that stars “cluster”. In this solar system there are two distinct types of star clusters, “Open Clusters” and “Globular Clusters”. Well in the universe we call Hip Hop, Tha Ones best embody both clusters.

Here’s the breakdown….

Globular clusters are tight groups of seasoned stars that almost by destiny are gravitationally bound…

A. Well Rockit’s pops and M-dot’s mother were married before they became a group in 1998.

B. It should also be stated that both artist took a liking to writing music at virtually the same age: Rockit (14) M-Dot (16) before eventually becoming a group in 1998.

Open clusters are generally hot young groups of stars…

A. Well through Tha Ones versatility in production choice, extensive vocabulary, and unique song concepts once could make the argument that stars don’t get hotter than these artist.

B. When you’re influences range from the flawless delivery of Jay-Z, to the aggression and passion of 2pac, to the storytelling of Biggie, and the rapid lyricism of Eminem, sky is the limit….or should I say space is the destination…

C. Further Evidence: “Franchise R.O. maker we done made it baby, change the game on 23s, ball before I’m 23, King like 23 (Lebron), All you niggas shooting 3’s, Till I pull up with the 4-5 like 23 (Jordan)” – Rockit

“The backyard alley cat more lion than lion perhaps/The King of any jungle I’m beating on your chest guerrillas in your mess, your limelight cut short nigga set trip ” - M-Dot

Soon Hip Hop scientists abroad will agree in one accord, Tha Ones are unlike any other Hip Hop group to combust on a microphone. From humble beginnings in M-Dot’s grandma’s garage, all Tha Ones needed was a tape deck, instrumentals, and an outlet for their voice. Tha Ones are the voice of reality, whether that’s the day to day struggle, hustle, or celebration of life. Add to that a ridiculous catalogue of music and an even more ridiculous work ethic at Rocstarr Entertainment, one may ask why these stars shine so bright…

Rockit “Seeing my mom struggling is all the motivation I need”
M-Dot “My 10 month year old daughter”
