Dank Rice is a collective of like-minded artists and musicians who aim to unite the world with love of music.
They have been characterized by many as a Techno, Hip-Hop, Rap, or Dance group, but members of the group do not place themselves in any one genre. They draw inspiration from artists of all genres, from Anderson .Paak to George Michael to Childish Gambino to Calvin Harris.
Dank Rice itself is the brainchild of LeMonCéllo Buttsoü and Shoelace Robinson. Both serve as main songwriters in the group. The real dankness in Dank Rice is their ability to span almost every genre. On their first two albums, they incorporated elements of Jazz, rap, R&B, rock, and funk; and their EP, entitled DankRiceiii, boasts a different genre and musical influence for every song.
As of June 2018, Dank Rice has amassed over 25,000 plays on SoundCloud and Spotify combined. They also tout two acclaimed music videos, both of which were praised for their professionalism although they were made with no budget available.
