"Fly as Hell, No Jet: Bamn and the BeFirstClassEnt Movement, Independent Artist Gives Back Through Music"

When you picture music artist or celebrities giving back its most likely that they have already made it to the top. The human nature in us tens to give only AFTER we ourselves are established. What about those who give as they climb to the top? What about those who are unselfishly inspiring as they aspire to the next level? How many artists be it independent or mainstream can you say give back abundantly as they are in the act of striving? Those types of people are few and far between. In the case of both visionary and founder of BeFirstClassEnt, Independent Atlanta artist Bamn is in the few and far percentile. Bamn has made a statement for himself and his music through uncommon yet creative actions. This is an artist constantly giving back to the community as he climbs the peak of his career. Dare to test our facts?... - Kimberly Ni’Cole, HipHop Exclusives (Jan 2016)

"DOPE MUSIC: BAMN - GIVE IT UP (PROD. BY C.WALKER)"

BAMN is an Atlanta based rapper who dropped the classic EP, "The Ride" last year. He is now back bringing more heat with 'Give It Up', which is our latest Song of the Week. He also just dropped a video for this song which can be seen at our DOPE Videos section. For much more with BAMN, check out our exclusive interview with him under DOPE Features. - Carlton Boyd, Dope Cause We Said (Jan 2016)

"BAMN IS ATLANTA'S BEST KEPT SECRET"

When most music fans think of Atlanta rap, Trap music is the first thing that comes to mind. Artists like Future, Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan are carrying the torch for this very popular sub-genre but there is a new generation of rappers making major noise in the Atlanta region and beyond. One of these emerging artists is BAMN. BAMN has been featured on our site several times since we started in July 2014 and his appearances have all been well warranted. He's been making great music for three years, with the culmination being last spring's "The Ride", an eight song EP featuring the production prowess of Spittzwell.

We connected with BAMN to ask some questions about his philanthropic work in the community, what we can look forward to from him musically this year and much more. Most importantly, BAMN just dropped a DOPE new video for his track 'Give It Up', which is our current Song of the Week, and appears on our recently released compilation album "The Definition of DOPE". Enjoy.

Last but never least, much respect to our very special sponsors -Southern Snack Shack, The Undergrowth Foundation, Mid'East Entertainment, Artije Photography, and BeFirstClass ENT; without their support, this tremendous undertaking would not have been possible. - Carlton Boyd, Dope Cause We Said (Dec 2015)

THE RIDE INTERVIEW

How long did it take for you to create The Ride EP? B: The Ride EP probably took us about a year, but only because we had conflicting schedules and we couldn't finish it as quick as we would like to.

What made you link up with the producers? B: Actually I only worked with one producer for this project. I met Spittzwell (Producer) through a mutual friend Jarren Benton. He actually reached out to me about doing the EP and after we got in the studio together we knew we could make a classic project.

What separates this EP from your other releases? B: This one is smoother than my other releases. It’s one of those projects that you can put in and just let it play, and it would take you on a ride, no pun intended.

Out of the 8 tracks on The Ride, what's your favorite one? And why? B: Of course I love them all but if I had to choose one it would be "#8. Save the day feat. Hemi". That song is so big, and so much more different than any other song i've done. It just sounds worldly, and that’s what I like. I make music for the masses and I feel like that song is definitely for the masses.

Do you plan on shooting videos from the EP? B: Certainly! I plan to shoot a visual for all 8 songs so stay tuned for that. The way I'm going to put it together is going to be dope so pay attention.

QUICK THREE

When someone listens to a BAMN track, what do you want them to take away from it? B: I want them to want more and I want them to feel it. I think when an artist makes a good record you can feel it, and that's what I want my supporters to take away from my music..."a feeling" that they were just apart of something amazing!

With so much music coming out of Atlanta, how do you stick out from the rest? B: My presentation and what I stand for makes me stick out. My movement "BFC" stands for BeFirstClass. Different people interpret the phrase in many ways, but to me it means being the best you that you can be, excel at being yourself, and be the influence, don’t be influenced.

When can we expect an EP or full length release from you? B: I'm actually wrapping up an EP now. It's titled "The Ride". I don't have a hard release date as of now, but you can expect it early next year (2015).
