Bio

Scott Rogness & Rick Elias had an opportunity to write, perform, and co-produce five songs for the film & soundtrack, as well as performing on several others. They make cameo appearances in the film as part of the Playtone Galaxy of Stars Orchestra.

Not only will you hear songs by The Wonders, Freddy Frederickson, The Vicksburgs (and other fictitious groups), but you'll hear the Dave Clark Five (Hanks' favorite band), The Searchers, Paul Revere and the Raiders, The Kinks, and others off the Billboard charts in the early 1960's. All done with authenticity and fun! The band dresses in '60's period clothes with vintage instruments. It's full of energy and great musicianship (check out Scott's singing and Rick's guitar work on the audio samples!). The musicians come from Nashville all the way to California.

"That Thing You Do!” has become a true cult classic playing regularly on ABC’s Family Channel and VH-1's “Movies That Rock”. Their music has been featured on Oprah Winfrey, the radio, and even commercials in Europe!
