The Almost Faithful perform contemplative yet rocking songs with a twist for those who enjoy a dash of intelligence with their rock-and-roll. While their lyrics tend towards the philosophical, their songs are playfully melodic and punctuated with syncopated rhythms that inspire much hip-shaking, toe-tapping, and other forms of celebratory somatic activities.
The Almost Faithful write literate songs addressing issues of love, loss, insomnia, alienation, and the hypnotic humming of fluorescent lights. Their melodic and syncopated brand of Art/Pop is perfect for thwarting those relentless bouts of existential ennui.
Their songs range in influence from Tom Waits, Brian Eno, Talking Heads, PJ Harvey, The Kinks, and even a little bit of Johnny Cash. Careful listening might uncover even more diverse influences such as 1920’s Jazz, Kurt Weill, David Bowie, and early Genesis.
