The Autumn Attics

The Autumn Attics were formed in early 2014 by singer/guitarist Grant Mitchell shortly after parting ways with the Athens-based band, WILX. Things really came together for the project  when Grant and singer/bassist Adam Perry (Perpetual Groove) began writing music together. They knew they had created something special and decided to take their ideas to the studio. Enter producer/engineer, Jason Kingsland. Kingsland has worked with greats like Band of Horses, DeerHunter, Belle and Sebastian, Delta Spirit and on and on it goes. Grant describes (working with) Kingsland as, “probably the most versatile and talented person I’ve ever worked with. He not only pushed our music and lyrics, but the very foundation and sonic spaces you didn’t think you could ever achieve.  He truly pushes you outside the comfort zone to end in a better place you never thought you could get to.” The next step was to finalize the band. Solidifying drummer Shawn Thacker (Truckadelic/The Southern Gothic) and guitarist/keyboardist/noisemaker Justin Hasting (ZOOGMA) was the final, needed pieces to the puzzle that is now The Autumn Attics. The debut record is due out Spring 2018, with the first single, "White Lighters," dropping January 2018. Expect big things from this new chapter of the band.
