Dirty, sleazy, and grungy are words sometimes used to describe the sound that has become the backdrop of this basement dwelling 2 piece blues rock band, The Capones, from Red Deer, Alberta. They are a greasy rock duo made up of Darren Wesemann on guitar and vocals and Chris Davies on drums.
The Capones got started in 2013 when Wesemann and Davies were introduced to each other by a mutual buddy. They got their performing start shortly after, opening for a Saskatchewan bluegrass band, The Dead South. After playing shows all over Alberta with the South boys in 2013, they finished runners up out of 30 or so bands in the Alberta's Own Music Festival to open up for a headlining event.
The Capones released their first full length album 'Troubled Me' in December of 2013 & just released their first single 'Old Tree' on vinyl through an awesome indie label, Grimtale Records (www.grimtalerecords.com). They are currently editing their second full length album, due to be released in 2015.
