The Carryons are a Philadelphia-based guitar and trumpet duo that perform original music. Many of their songs are of a folk-jazz flavor with catchy, singable melodies as well as improvisation in the jazz tradition; however their unique offering is their middle-east-influenced songs that draw from their Greek and Turkish heritage. As a small, acoustic, world-music duo, they are a versatile act that combines the rhythms and melodies of the near east and the balkans with the improvisation and harmonies of jazz.
