“Get The Feeling” has a ’70’s A.M. radio feel, while musically reminiscent of The Wallflowers and is as catchy as the day is long...
One could make the argument that this band has genuine hit potential – one listen alone may give you that feeling; two or three listens just reaffirm and solidify the notion. So if The Chordaes are this polished on their maiden ride into the world of recorded music, imagine what could come next. - Popdose
"The Chordaes' music features elegant melodies, measured arrangements and a rather mellow approach... this is a group of young and talented musicians with noteworthy songwriting chops, and a vocalist that can touch hearts in ways reminiscent of unforgotten NYC hero Jeff Buckley. " - The Deli Magazine
"New York's own The Chordaes are electrifying onstage, and the power-rock outfit bring that same level of urgency in their recorded music...The band imagines a modern world stretched together with classic rock tones and melodic, sweeping pop vibrations. They aren't fitting in with anything; they are redefining everything." - Pop Dust
"Calling The Chordaes a “rock band” would be doing them a disservice. Their music is a diverse array of sounds and ideas, inspired by the freewheeling experimentation of Radiohead and late-period Beatles while retaining a distinctly pop essence." - Elmore Magazine
‘Touch the Ground’ is a dynamic track that showcases the Chordaes’ many influences — tinges of Jeff Buckley, Big Star, the Beatles, Neil Young all abound — and its theme is something most listeners can instantly relate to.

Bio
The Chordaes are on a mission: to bring back great, melodic rock, playing what they call Post-power pop – a style that draws on both classic rock and power pop, refracted through a contemporary sensibility. The band’s songwriter, lead vocalist and guitarist, Leo Sawikin, crafts complex harmonies, inventive chord and tempo changes, and heartfelt lyrics. According to Elmore Magazine, The Chordaes offer “A diverse array of sounds and ideas, inspired by the freewheeling experimentation of Radiohead and late period Beatles while retaining a strictly pop essence.”
Leo’s NYC-born bandmates are his childhood friend Ethan Glenn (Drums), along with Nick Haberstroh (Bass), and frequent collaborator Max Ventura (Keyboards and backing vocals). The members draw on varied musical backgrounds – indie rock, jazz, classical – that merge into a sound Philly Mixtape dubbed “vibey and chill.”
The band put out their debut album in 2016. As early tracks were released, they received strong college radio airplay and premieres on Earmilk, BlackBook, and many more. Deli Magazine named The Chordaes best NY-based emerging alt rock band of 2015. The band has been playing frequent gigs around NYC, including a residency at The Bitter End and will release a new EP later this year.
