Bio

Weather you want to ride a rollercoaster through blackholes in space,
cruise down a dusty desert road in a vintage automobile or soak up cosmic nostalgia on an overcast seashore, The Corridors sound will take you there
and many more places.

The Corridors started when American songwriter Jason Wagers
started a music recording and art project during the summer of 2016 in
Louisville, Kentucky. In the midst of leaving his previous band “Big Spoon”
Jason cultivated The Corridors sound with the idea that he could be a
“corridor” for the audience, leading them to different realms visually with
the sound of his Cinematic-Psych-Rock music. The music focuses heavily
on cinematic elements and eclectic scenarios brought to life with groovy
bass riffing and bluesy, monumental guitar licks. His blend of styles
sometimes comes across as a collision of The Rolling Stones and The
Mars Volta. Weird right? How does that work? The only thing we can say
here is that it definitely does. Fans of The Stones, the Doors, The Strokes,
The Mars Volta, Black Sabbath, Allah-Las and the Brian Jonestown
Massacre are highly encouraged to pick up this record, because when you
do, you won’t put it down.
The Corridors consist of one member and that is Jason Wagers.
Exhausted with playing under-payed bar gigs around Louisville, Kentucky,
Jason decided to expand on his own idea of writing, recording, mixing,
mastering & producing his very own full length album. He began writing &
recording at his top floor apartment in downtown Louisville. The writing
and recording process lasted from May 2016 until January 2017, when he
began mixing and mastering all of the tracks on the album. As if the music
wasn’t enough, Jason also started creating artwork for each and every
individual song he wanted to put out. This is something he say’s give’s him
a higher understanding of his own songs while providing more depth for
the listener. The song artwork usually resembles the old Hannah-Barbera
cartoons from the 60’s, with a sometimes violent, big screen twist. The
album artwork however, is a real film photograph done by Jaime Barboza
(@officialcatch/Instagram) of Winchester, Kentucky. The album artwork’s
aesthetic gives off a 60’s “cops n’ robbers” kind of vibe, while portraying a
blending shot of normality and surrealism.
This February of 2017 Jason Wagers finished his debut album as "The Corridors", and shifted his focus towards the release. Two singles “GHOUL” and “SYSTM” were released digitally on March 20, and  were made available for pre-order on March 13 (via. Bandcamp, itunes, Spotify, Rhapsody & more). The album was released digitally on April 18th , and was also available for pre-order on March 20 (via. Bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify, Rhapsody & more). The album was released physically on May 18th of 2017 and is now available for purchase!
