“having a bigger, layered sound than anything we’ve done before — wider stereo fields, instruments like electric piano and vibraphone and sleigh bells, multi-tracked vocals, just really trying to take our songwriting up to a new level. It takes inspiration from twee pop, Pacific Northwest indie rock and The Beach Boys.”

It’s over a year since we last heard from Portland’s The Crystal Furs. Well they are back with the new single Too Kind To Be Cruel which showcases their new Pacific Northwest sound.
