Bio
Dave Astro is a Los Angeles based guitarist, widely known for his work with musical agencies, local Big Bands, and his jazz-fusion group “The Dave Astro Syndicate." He has shared the stage with such artists as Jeff Hamilton, Bob Reynolds and Bob Mintzer. Dave is a prolific composer and recording artist. While opening for the band Toto, Steve Lukather said “Awesome guitar playing.”
As an independent recording artist, Dave's EP “Yosemite” showcases his melodic improvisational style and tuneful songwriting. His style is a blend of Jazz, Rock, Blues and Pop.
Dave is also a passionate educator and in demand clinician sharing insights on his music career through his popular YoutubeChannel.
Dave is Currently pursuing his master's degree in Studio Guitar at USC's Thornton School of Music.
