Biography

Destiny Muhammad is a recording/ performing artist in the singer-songwriter fashion on Harp. Her genre ‘Celtic to Coltrane’ is cool and eclectic with a feel of Jazz & storytelling to round out the sonic experience.
Destiny has opened for The Oakland East Bay Symphony, shared the stage with Jazz Masters Calvin Keyes, Marcus Shelby, Omar Sosa, Ambrose Akisemuire,and Jazz Divas Diane Witherspoon & Denise Perrier to name a few. She has headlined the 'Women in Jazz' Concert series and the AfroSolo/ Yerba Buena Gardens Concert Festival Series, San Francisco.
Destiny is the Principle Harpist for the Eddie Gale Inner Peace Orchestra, the and the Oakland Community Orchestra.

The Destiny Muhammad Project~~~ Cool and Eclectic bringing the elements of JAZZ in a retro hip cool way~ Harp Upright Bass & Drums feeling Standard Classic Jazz originals and a twist on Modern sounds. Following in the tradition of Jazz Harp Legend Dorothy Ashby, Destiny brings her unique sound on Harp to the scene. This cool 3 piece of players flips the script in cool classic way that's fun a tasty.  
Destiny is Governor Emeritus and Educational Chair Emeritus of the Recording Academy, Jazz Heritage Center of San Francisco Jazz Ambassador and an ASCAP Songwriter Awardee.
